We may update these terms from time to time, and the date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

What This Site Is

US College Data is an informational resource. It gathers public federal data about colleges, majors, programs, and careers and presents it alongside our own summaries and a composite UCD Score. It is meant to help you research and build a shortlist. It is not academic, financial, legal, or career advice, and it is not a substitute for talking to a college, a counselor, or a financial aid office before you make a decision.

About the Data and Accuracy

We work hard to present federal data faithfully, but a few things are important to understand.

  • Figures such as earnings, net price, and graduation rates come from public datasets that are released on a delay, often one to two years behind, so they may not reflect a college's current situation.
  • The UCD Score is our own composite measure, calculated by a fixed formula from that public data. It is not an official rating and is not endorsed by any government agency.
  • Source data can contain gaps or errors, and our presentation of it is provided on an as-is basis. Always confirm details that matter to your decision directly with the college.

If you spot something that looks wrong, please tell us. We correct data presentation issues when we can verify them against the source.

Not Affiliated

US College Data is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any college or university, the U.S. Department of Education, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the College Board, or ACT, Inc. SAT is a trademark of the College Board, and ACT is a trademark of ACT, Inc. College names and logos belong to their respective institutions and are used for identification only.
